REAMIT project partners will be meeting for the 3nd RSC+RAC+WP meeting. The meeting will be hosted by Whysor B.V in the Netherlands. We had original arrangeed for this meeting to take place in The Netherlands but was moved to an online meeting, due to the current pandemic. Dr. Pat Doody, Co-founder and Director of the IMaR Research Centre, Munster Technological University, Ireland, presented the REAMIT project at the Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateways online event on 18th of March 2021. Professor Yanqing Duan from the University of Bedfordshire, Business School, has been invited to give an online presentation of the REAMIT project at the International Conference on Intelligent Agriculture (ICIA2021), taking place at Tianjin, China on 20-22 May 2021. The focus of Yan’s presentation will be on demonstrating the applications and benefits of using Big Data and IoT sensors for reducing food waste in food supply chains based on REAMIT experience, therefore it will help to prompt the exploration of new applications and wider adoption of emerging digital technologies in food supply chains. Presenting the REAMIT project at this international conference will be an excellent opportunity to reach new stakeholders and attract new research collaborations in China and beyond, who are also involved in reducing food waste.

5th REAMIT Advisory Committee, Work Packages and Steering Committee meeting on 7-8 July 2021, will take place online and will be hosted by Nottingham Trent University, partner of the REAMIT Project.
Prof. Ram Ramanathan of University of Bedfordshire Business School will be speaking on REAMIT and how we can use data from Life Cycle Analysis for conducting Data Envelope Analysis, at the International Workshop on Recent Advancements in Data Envelopment Analysis and Applications on 10-11 July, 2021.

The International Conference on Innovative Research in Science and Technology (ICIRST-2021), which is scheduled to be held on the 26th and 27th of November 2021 is themed around the numerous outstanding results and new difficulties in the applied sciences, engineering, technology as well as management sectors. The 3rd REAMIT Symposium is intended to provide an opportunity for food producers, food supply chain companies (processing and logistics), local authorities, academics and digital technology providers to explore the problem of food waste and the solutions to achieve more sustainable food systems by reducing the waste. REAMIT is a large European project funded by the Interreg North-West Europe. The project aims to support reducing food waste using Internet of Things sensors and Big Data technologies. The symposium will showcase the achievements of the REAMIT projects so far and highlight the associated impact on three key sustainability areas: social, environmental and economic.

We look forward to seeing you on 8 of December 2022 for the 4th symposium of the REAMIT Project, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the heart of the very dynamic capital of the Pays de La Loire Region of France.
The symposium will gather key players committed to tackle food waste in favour of sustainable food system in Europe. Solutions providers are: food producers, supply chain companies (processing and logistics), local authorities, academics, digital technology providers, etc.
The 8th meeting of REAMIT Advisory Committee, Work Packages and REAMIT Steering Committee will take place on 11-12 January 2023 in Dublin, Ireland. The format of these meetings will be in person. The meetings are hosted by REAMIT partners, University College Dublin in the Ireland.
